Modify a chat application for iPhone

We are immediately looking for a good iOS developer to revamp part of our application that is already live and written in Objective C. THIS IS STRICTLY AN ON SITE PROJECT IN MUMBAI. Checkout the existing app here: [login to view URL] This application is primarily a chat app along with a few purely UI screens (no complex functionality) and the part we need help on is revamping the chat functionality and screen. This is because we are moving the chat server from a hosted solution (konotor) to our own chat backend. Firebase is the technology we are using to handle the load of chats. Read about the SDK here: [login to view URL] In the existing app, the Konotor SDK ([login to view URL]) handled all the UI and the basic chat functionality. We are looking to use Firebase's SDK for the chat functionalities and doing the UI part on our own (although we are open to using existing UI libraries to fast track development like QM chat controller). To give you a flavor of features you can expect to build: - User authentication - Complete chat UI (can use libraries for this) - basic message receiving and sending - Images sending and receiving - push notifications - displaying delivery and read status of message and a waiting indicator if message not delivered - system message (e.g. user is typing or Ithaka is offline, etc.). Some system messages have a different UI - Enabling group chat (does not include user flow to create their own groups) This scope also includes any bug fixes that come up in immediate testing or down the line from user feedback.
