WebApp not conncting to MySQL server - AWS Infra

I have 2 AWS servers running Ubuntu 16, one as a webserver and the other as a database server. On the webserver I am trying to setup DVWA, but everytime it errors saying that it cannot connect to the MySQL database. Steps already taken - Iptables rules added AWS firewall rules added Able to ping both servers MySQL database and user created for app Actions - I just need somebody to help me find and fix the WebApp to see the MySQL database
