Here is what I'm looking for. I have a page at [login to view URL] that I was playing [login to view URL] the join page will collect the members information such as the link shows. My idea was to some how try and keep the database as small as possible by using say a number for the gender and also like the country the member is from. So the database will only include a number instead of Male or Female or the country name. Maybe this won't work when we build the search form I don't know. I just would like to keep the database as small as possible. I want the signup page to also collect the IP address as well. I only want one member per IP address to be able to join. This will need to be added to the members profile in the database as I also want the IP address checked when a member logs in to the members area. Members will also need to confirm the email address to activate their membership by clicking a link in their welcome email. Administration (myself) will need a admin page where we put in promotion [login to view URL] will include the url to send signups to, targeting for the membership and the number of signups to send to this URL. Also a short description of the business being [login to view URL] script will assign a promotion code to this order like a 4 digit number. Also admin will assign a sentence or paragraph that is taken from the confirmation email that a person will receive when they join this business. This will be used later to confirm a [login to view URL] targeting will be the tricky part. Like if the promotion to a given url is "USA and Canada,over 25 years of age, 14+ hours spent online weekly, High School Education" This will need to integrate with the members area. So when a member logins in to the members area,the script will quarry the database and list all the promotions that meet their [login to view URL] if a members is from the US or Canada and is over 25, spends 14+ hours online weekly and has a at least a High School education they would qualify to have the url mentioned, displayed in their members area. So some of the targeting needs some way to make sure members qualifyfor the targeting. Just because a members clicks they have a University education that would still mean they would qualify for a site being promoted to at least a high school education. Or if the targeting is to 14+ hours spent online, any member that at least qualifies for the minimum would still qualify to have the URl displayed in their members area. Each member will have promotions offered to them that meet their profile they entered when theyjoined. They will be presented with say a maximum of 10 offers per day but will have the optionto delete a offer if they choose too. If they delete an offer it will be replaced with a new [login to view URL] an offer has been displayed for 4 days to a member it will be removed and replaced with another.offer. Also the script will need to know that a URL promoting the same business will not be presented more then once to a member. Like if you have multiple URL'S being promoted to a business with just affiliate tracking included in each url. A member will only be offered one of these at a time. Also when a member chooses to join a business, they must be never offered a chance to join the same business again, like under a different affiliate. The other sites use cookies to track what businesses members have joined, but this causes problems as many delete their cookies and you then loose track of what businesses they have joined. I'm not sure if there is abetter option for this or not, but I'd prefer a better option if possible. So when a members login to the members area, they are presented with the businesses that they qualify for. There will be a short description about a business with a code assigned to [login to view URL] a member wishes to join, they click on the link provided and complete the signup process to the business. When they receive the welcome email from the business they joined they will be required to click forward in their email client and enter the 4 digit code that is assigned to this url as the subject of the forwarded email. They are also given instructions in the members area on this. They are supplied a email address to forward the email to. A script on our site will read incoming email to this account and find the code in the subject, look up this code in the database and find the sentence or paragraph that was assigned to this order by [login to view URL] will then scan the body of the email for an exact match of the assigned text. If an exact match is found then the member whose account is assigned to the email address that the email is sent from, is then given credit for joining that business. Also the url in the promotion is charged with a signup and the total signups ordered for this url is decreased by 1. If no match is found a default email is replied stating the [login to view URL] email is then deleted from the server. It also needs some way to prevent a member from forwarding the email several times from his same account and getting credit multiple times. Maybe the members profile can somehow show they joined this business and it can be accessed to prevent them from joining again. Nitroclicks uses a graph to show its advertisers how many signups their getting. You can view the graph they use by visiting [login to view URL] clicking the "X" button. Something like this would be nice but may be to difficult! Members will be paid .20 - .25 cents per signup, but I'd like the option to be able to assign different amounts to the url's if I choose. I think one of the best ways to see a system working is to visit [login to view URL] and join them and visit the members area. Or [login to view URL] or [login to view URL] to see a working system. They all use a system or question and answer to confirm a signup, but you find many members share the answer to the question with their downlines. So thus the forwarded email so no one knows what were looking for in the email. And also it confirms they are using a valid email account. The script also checks where the email is coming from so members cant just forward the whole email to their downlines. Changes to this outline may of course be required and I understand this! Dave
