We are a J2EE software component developer mainly devoted to portal services. We have developed a wide range of software components for portals which are maintained online through a traditional backoffice interface. (webmail, chat, forums, ecommerce, ...) Portal Masters activate and deactivate services for their portals. Currently, they must design their own home page with the links to the services, so we have developed a JSP page that generates a dynamic HTML home page based on which services are active in each portal. What we need is five CSS documents that give our basic HTML different looks. We already have the HTML ready and don't need any HTML programming, but will need some advice on how to orient this ultra simple HTML to CSS (classes and ids needed for this document.) As an example, home page shows: Portal logo, portal home address, portal descriptión, login form for private area, a service panel with links to main services (chat, club, ecards, forums, webmail, ...) and differente services panels. As an example: Content Manager Related links classifieds News PhotoService (just last pictures shown) Polls Guestbook WebCrawler All this panels will have a very similar look and resulting CSS file must accomodate them in a "relative" ordered way, cosidering they can be activated by the portal master in any combination. Designs must be color independent (portal master can sepecify wich colors he wants to use: Main text color, highlighted color, background color and panel bacground color) We provide HTML homes for 3 portals with different active services. The CSSs must show a decent organization of the areas in the screen. Important: We dont need or want a cool and complex website design. Just a minimum very simple design. In fact, we offer a commercial design for portal homes. We also need to migrate to CSS all the user services, so after this first project will start with a more complex CSS design with the same orientation as this one.
