As a basis for the site we want to use the open source community tool ‘Dolphin' created by Boonex: [login to view URL] . The finished [login to view URL] site will be a modified, re-skinned version of this technology. Members When people come on to the site we want them to register and create a page depending on what type of user they are. The three main membership types will be: o People / public members / music lovers / music fans o Festivals (people who directly run/own a festival) o Bands/Artists/Musicians Each member's profile will need to have slightly different features, to enable them to interact with each other in the best way. Homepage The homepage will act as a ‘hub' for the whole site and will display various blocks feeding in activity from all areas. Features & Pages Boonex/Dolphin is a very comprehensive off-the-shelf social community tool. A lot of the pages/features we want to take away to make it simpler, but also there are a lot of extra features and modifications we want to add on. This will become clearer in the detailed description of the site below. Stages & Timeframes We wish to split the development of the site into 3 stages, with the first stage setting up the core features and the look of the site. The second and third stages will be adding more features, add-ons and usability. Expected timeline below • Stage 1. Begin June 2011, finish 1st week September 2011 • Stage 2. Begin January 2012, finish March 2012 Stage 1 Skinning/layout of the site The site will need to be skinned according to our layout and designs for each page of the site. On accepting a quote we will forward on the required files for website skinning. …………………………………………………………………………………………… Signing up Each member type (public, festival and band/artist) needs to have their own separate sign up form, as the information we want to collect for each will be slightly different. We want to simplify the sign up, making it quicker for people to join. Then once they have logged in for the first time, they can fill out the rest of their details. Here's how the sign up area needs to work: • User selects type of membership they want to create (i.e. Person/Festival/Band) • Form opens up for selected membership type • All users have the ability to sign up using open ID i.e. facebook/google/yahoo etc. For this we would like to use the following module: [login to view URL] On accepting a quote we will send through more details on what fields we require for registering Other registering notes • When an account is created, the new member will appear in the section of the site depending on which kind of account they've set up. We also want to add more buttons which allow users to interact with each other. ‘I'm going to this' buttton • This will appear on the festival profile page. Other users can click this button and they will appear in that festivals list of people going to the festival. When that user then visits their own profile that festival would then appear on their ‘I'm going to...' page. • This button will also appear when viewing a gig/event for a band. Other users can click this button and they will appear in the list of people going to the gig/event. This would also appear in the users profile under ‘I'm going to...' ‘Tap it' button • Similar to the facebook ‘like it button' "Tap it" is a way to give positive feedback or to connect with things you care about on ratatap. • This button will be a prominent feature on each profile page and also appear on comments, blogs and gigs/events etc. • Once a user clicks a Tap it button this will appear in their list of things they have tapped viewable on their profile. This list will be organised by type e.g. Festivals, comments, bands etc. Further information on the member profiles and functions will be given on accepting a quote. ……………………………………………………………………………………………… Browsing the site A good example of a working version of this would be on a site called ‘We love festivals': [login to view URL] Browsing Festivals • All Users will have ability to browse festivals by o Genre (Family, Rock & Pop etc.) o Location (Areas of UK (South East, North etc.), Europe, USA World) o Calendar/Date (calendar view) • We want the calendar to work similar to the calendar on the events section of boonex works. We want the links that appear to show the name of the festival instead of ‘1 event', ‘2 events' etc. o Coming soon (10 festivals coming soon in date order) o Past festivals archive (browse past festivals by year) o By band/artist appearing there • Festivals displayed in list form with 2 view options as standard on boonex: o Simple- Image and festival name o Extended- Image (clickable), festival name (clickable), date, headliners, short desc, I'm going to this festival button, add to fave festivals button, overall star rating • Users will be able to sort these lists by o Rating (top rated first) (default) o Alphabetical Browsing public members • Will work as is default with boonex Browsing Bands/Artists • All Users will have ability to browse bands by o Genre (Jazz, Rock & Pop etc.) o Ratatap top 100 bands/artists (top 100 bands as selected by admin via the backend) o Ratatap top 100 unsigned bands/artists (top 100 unsigned bands as selected by admin via the backend) • Bands/artists displayed in list form with 2 view options as standard on boonex: o Simple- Image and band/artist name o Extended- Image (clickable), band/artist name (clickable), short description, genre, become a fan of band/artist, overall star rating • Users will be able to sort these lists by o Rating (top rated first) (default) o Alphabetical ……………………………………………………………………………………………… Admin Back-end Us the owners/administrators of the site have private access to the boonex back end system. As well as all the defaults we need to: Members - Festivals o Add/edit/delete/ban a festival and all details o Turn off/on affiliate link to tickets- input a link, represented in frontend as a button. Festival members cannot edit this from their account o Add/edit/delete festival categories/genres Members - Bands/Artists o Add/edit/delete/ban a band/artist and all details o Add/edit/delete band/artist categories/genres Advertising On the front-end we will leave space in several places for advertising to be dropped in when necessary. From the back-end we need the ability to: o Add/edit delete adverts to be published to the site o Add either image/flash/html code for and advert o Set URL link for advert if needed o Set where advert will appear and for how long- start and end dates o Track impressions and clicks from each ad- display in table form o Stats can be sent to the advertiser via monthly email in pdf form? Boonex Modules we will also be integrating You do not need to quote for the following, this is just a list of modules we'll be installing into boonex before we hand the project over to you. • Facebook connect- gives users the ability to login with their Facebook account and automatically posts their Ratatap activity on facebook • Facebook comment- changes all the comment facilities on Ratatap to facebook comments. When user comments on blog/photo/profile etc. the comment appears on their facebook. Also comments will not clog up our servers. • Activity on admin dashboard. In our admin area we can see instant stats on the whole site- no of members, blogs, photos, festivals etc.
