Hello, I have worked a lot with Openstreetmap data and geocoding services in general. The work includes setting up my own nominatim service for a part of Southeast Europe, setting up my own tile server and building applications that use the nominatim service (both forward and reverse geocoding) and the tiles (using OpenLayers). Besides OSM I have used geocoding services from Google and local providers. I noticed that setting up a cache for reverse geocoding requests with a small area can help reduce many of the requests needed to geocode a lot of data. How many requests do you think you will have to make? Do you need to geocode the information once or do you need to continuously update a dataset that is growing? When you refer to the 509 error I suppose you mean HTTP status code 509; Wikipedia lists that code as not defined in any RFCs but used by Apache and possibly other webservers to indicate " Bandwidth Limit Exceeded". A possible reason is that your current API provider has a bandwidth rule that you have exceeded.
