Require online shopping mall development

I would like to commission the development of an online multi-vendor shopping mall that will allow guests and members of my Joomla CMS site to purchase products from participating online stores. Prospective customers should be able to select products from a range of categories/subcategories, compare products from multiple vendors and easily view 'special offers' before adding their choices to a shopping cart and making a secure transaction. Prospective vendors should be able to easily pay an annual registration fee, create their own online store and take control of the 'look and feel' of their store, add products and process orders from customers. From a financial perspective, we (the mall owners) want to be able to view all sales statistics and easily be able to calculate and deduct commissions on all store sales before passing the remainder of the sale value to the vendors. All relevant financials should ultimately be downloadable, preferably as an excel spreadsheet or csv file. The shopping mall must support our current Joomla-based site, allow for the provision of discounts to members based on their Joomla member account type, and work in with all existing templates and planned components/modules including Community Builder, Account Expiration Control (AEC), JACLPlus, Acajoom and VirtueMart. The site currently has an working shopping cart solution in VirtueMart. There has been considerable work already done by the open source community in developing a VM multi-vendor solution. We have access to this development and using it should provide the successful developer with a head-start. Therefore it would be ideal if the developer has considerable experience with Joomla, php, MySQL, the previously listed components and preferably already has experience with the development of similar projects. ## Deliverables NOTE: I have attached work that has already been done on the development of a VirtueMart multi vendor online store. Please review this before placing your bid as it should reduce the amount of work required to complete the project. I currently have a Joomla 1.0.13 site with VirtueMart 1.0.13a online store installed, configured and working. I wish to modify VirtueMart to function as an online 'shopping mall' for pet-related businesses. Businesses will be able to: 1. pay an annual charge - variable by superadministrator, then register as a 'vendor' and establish their 'shop' within the mall environment. A vendor should be able to establish several 'stores' adminsterable with the same login if desired 2. access their shop via a unique and secure login 3. upload sensitive information, such as bank account details, in a secure environment 4. choose from several layouts for the front-end presentation of their shop 5. upload their logo 6. upload their products, product images, product details, product brand, relevant category (or categories) applicable for each product and the type of pet (or pets) the product is for 7. take control of product pricing 8. opt to run 'special offers' on selected products - either unrestricted discounts, single-use 'coupon' offers - available from the vendor's store or from the mall's 'bargain bin' 9. receive customer enquiries 10. process sales, returns and credits in a secure environment (credit card and paypal) 11. send automated emails - order received, order processed, order dispatched, return received, account credited etc. 12. Run 'special offers' 13. receive an automated renewal notice/invoice when registration renewal is coming due 14. be able to upgrade a store to a 'featured store' at a higher annual premium - store to be featured at Mall Start screen in 'Featured Stores' The component must accommodate a variable product sales commission on all products sold. This commission rate (X%) should be adjustable by the superadministrator in consultation with each vendor The component must also be able to deactivate any vendor/store and their products if account is not renewed by the registered renewal date. The component must be able to identify 'special offer' products for presentation in a separate module for display on all site pages and for auto-collation into a weekly subscriber newsletter I want for the site superadministrator to: 1. be able to activate/deactivate vendor accounts 2. have access to a mall summary screen showing all customer/vendor transactions within a specified time period. Default display order should show all transactions in reverse date order (most recent to oldest). Display options should include 'display by product', 'display all sales by vendor', 'Unpaid (open) sales by reverse date' and paid (closed) sales by reverse date'. Open sales should be highlighted, perhaps in red 3. receive notifications of all orders placed and payments received (broken into vendor sale amount and superadministrator commission amount) 4. be able to access account history for any individual vendor including payments owing and payments made with dates of each transaction 5. download of monthly transactions per vendor (or a complete summary), as an Excel spreadsheet (enabling payment of accounts) clearly highlighting open and closed sales 6. be able to update vendor accounts Site Users (prospective customers) should be able to: 1. Register to the site/mall 2. Browse the mall by product category, type of pet, product/brand by vendor (enabling comparison shopping) 3. Browse vendors by product categories, vendor rating 4. Search for products/vendors 5. Rate vendor(s) and provide comments about vendors/vendor products 6. Purchase securely (credit card and paypal) 7. Make product/shop enquiries directly with vendors, or engage in an 'online chat' session with the vendor (if they are available) 8. Provide superadministrator with feedback on mall and on vendor/vendor experience 9.
