modify existing phpbb3 /w website user auth and 5 star rating system

I need to mini projects to be done. #1 I have an existing website that uses a customized user authentication (register and login) attached to phpbb3. it works, but I would like it revamped to include "changes" within the user profile. Currently, when a user registers or logs into my website, it uses the phpbb3 user database system, that is ALSO attached to my website database. it also uses the phpbb3 sessions to track the user. The last guy I hired at scriptlance/freelancer didn't do a proper job! When a user logs in, and goes to his 'control panel' in phpbb3, a few of the settings won't change the website user database. I need that changed. - would only take a few hours to do. #2 I want a simple 5 star rating system implemented on the website, that REQUIRES the user to be logged in to rate it. Most likely I will want an EXISTING 5 star jquery script to be modified to use an existing database.... I have a GIT system in place, so the PHP developer can easily work from a clone. I myself am a junior PHP Developer, but my specialty is Systems work. You are NOT expected to do this on your own, but to collaborate with me. I am also using these projects to "judge your skill level" for future work! I am NOT a company, but a person doing this part time.... Namaste!
