Textbook Exchange

I am interested in creating a college textbook exchange for a group of colleges and universities in my area. Basically, a seller will register a book and pay a small fee for listing the book. They can pay via PayPal and it will be the same as placing a classifieds ad in the newspaper. The buyer can search for a book via ISBN, Author, or Title. IF the buyer finds a book he wants, then he can send an email to the seller. The seller's email is private UNTIL the seller opts to reply to the buyer outside of the site and via his email. Email--I need a database which collects user information for advertisement possibilities. Also, needed for a newsletter. THe email must also remind sellers to visit the site and delete the books if they are sold. Also to keep the site clean, books are only listed for a period of 12 months and must be dropped automatically. THis site also needs to provide useage stats (how many books online, how many users, etc.) It should be a PHP or CGI script. It will operate on a linux server. It needs to be completed by July 1, 2003. I have a script that can be installed to save time. It's completely operable and I own the rights to use it. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased. ## Platform Linux server 3.0+ versions of INternet Exploreer and Netscape, Linux
