We need help in developing an application that will be used by the loan officers of a microfinance institutions. The loan officers go to villages and provide small amounts of credit to poor people. Our application will be run on a small laptop/PDA that will be provided to the loan officer in order to help with their day to day operations in the field. The following are the key processes of the application: 1. Add Member 2. Approve Loan 3. Disburse Money 4. Collect Money 5. Run Payment Default Survey 6. Run Payment History Analytics 7. Run End of Day Processes 8. Perform Ad Hoc Analytics Additional capabilities: 1. The application needs to provide capability to sync a subset of the data to a Windows-based pre-existing Access database through a USB key. 2. Part of the user interface will be in the Bangla language. While the coder does not need to know Bangla and will be provided with the Unicode values of the Bangla labels, he/she needs to make the application multi-language compatible. The UI of the application will be browser-based. The database will be mySQL and the application needs to run on both Windows and Linux. Python is the language of choice. We anticipate that there will be a total of 7 - 14 screens and 4 - 8 data tables involved. We expect to release the final version of the product on July 31. The design is complete. The coder will be responsible for the following: 1. Understanding the design 2. Developing the UI, app logic, data structures and databases according to spec 3. Run unit test and integartion test scripts (already defined)
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete well-documented source code and test results of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
## Platform
The application will run on both Windows 2000 and XP and Linux (a variant of Redhat Fedora called Sugar). The UI of the application will be browser-based (IE 5.0+, Firefox 1.0+). The database will be mySQL. Python is the language of choice.
