Network interface to monitor bandwidth usage on a dedicated server

Iam about to run an application on my server which uses a lot of bandwidth, the problem is as soon as the bandwidth maxes out the server crashes or locks up and needs rebooting. Obviously this causes all sorts of problems.
What i am looking for is for somebody to develop or provide a graphical interface that i can have running in a web browser or desktop environment which will tells me the bandwidth usege on my system and it's current status, for example if the bandwidth is at 80% of its capacity i want to be able to look at the interface and see that cleary and easily, so that i can upgrade the system to ensure that the previously explained issues do not arise.
I know there are open source systems available, however these tend to be line graphs or text displays, and i want a graphical interface, so that even if somebody who doesn't have much knowledge is monitoring the system they can see when the amount of bandwidth is getting critical.
I also want the application to send a warning email to one single email address.
