The Perceptual Matrix is a robust analytical software tool for generating defendable, compelling insights using qualitative and/or quantitative research data. Unlike basic spreadsheet or high-end data-mining tools, a Perceptual Matrix can recognize and visualize patterns of correlation between varying types of data sets to help foster higher-level insights. A Perceptual Matrix is composed of either a list to compare to itself or two different lists. The lists create the X and Y axis of the matrix and the resulting intersections are scored according to how strongly related the items are to one another. Clusters resulting from the scoring provide higher-level insights about the research data. Providing a general approach to integrate different types of research data and a means to appraise the relationships within the data in a visual format, this tool is excellent for analyzing complex research data to create powerful insights that lay a pathway to innovative new concepts. I have the visual basic code for an excel add-in of the app that I want to translate or transform into a Web app, for any browser. Attached you can find a picture of the output of the cluster that the app generates working with list of sentences or phrases (made of words). The idea is to replicate the layout, process and output of the Excel add-on into a Web app with admin and user rights and profiles. This mean that several users may acces the app at the same time. Today this app runs as an addin within Excel, an only over Windows. The idea now is that this app can run on the Web. The idea is always work over list: a list of sentences. If you can expand to other kind of list it will be welcome. So, one thing is to build a list that allows to input sentences, one sentence at a time or several sentences via copy/paste or other ways. The list can be imported from other sources (Word list, Excel list, txt list) and create the list within the application. Second, to visualize this lists in the Perceptual Matrix. see image attached. Third, score the relation between each list in two modes: one list over the same list score, and, two different list score. (This can be explained better if you need more clarification; I can send to the winner the add-on to install it on Excel to see the Visual Basic for App code and the forms) Fourth, to run a cluster analysis (code provided in visual basic for applications) and something you can make in another language (Php, C, etc.), that can run on the Web. Fifth, to create the user interface (options and visual provided by me) for the process of analysis and the visualization of results. Six, Export the results to pdf, excel, and other formats.
