7 Cross Browser compatibility changes for Joomla site

I've been developing in Chrome/Firefox and just noticed that my site looks messy in IE 7. There are five CSS based cross-browser compatibility changes that I need to be fixed as soon as possible. The site is [login to view URL] Here are the changes: IE 7 problems 1. The privacy policy tooltip pop up at the bottom is messed up. 2. The read more buttons are cut in half (only visible if you are logged in). 3. The title in the Cog Sci News section are overlapping the images 4. The body content is missing any left padding. 5. There is a line at the top of the page where the background image isn't displaying properly. 6. On the contact page the background is not appearing behind the contact text. Chrome Problems 7. The background width on the contact page is shorter than the page itself, it should extend to the edge of the page. I've included an image so you can see the changes that need to be made. I need this finished as soon as possible. Time is important.
