I am in need of a script that will download images from a website using a preset sequence of names such as dates in the format of [login to view URL] or [login to view URL] and the like. The file extension changes so it will need to try both .gif and .jpg . It will need to download the images from a set URL, they are all in the same directory. filenames will range from 010101 to 071231. Also the ability to expand the file name range would be nice but is not required. The rate of download should be slow enough to not be harmfull to the website hosting the images. Platform can be Windows or Linux and errors should be logged to a text file. I imagine the easiest way to do this would be with linux and wget but the method is up to the coder. If you need more details feel free to send a message. Thanks.
