XML Dataset Transformer control
A windows user control suite created in VB.Net for Visual Studio 2003 is required.
The first control will take a connection string as parameter (from a public property) which must use the General OLEDB .NET provider (eg OLEDB objects). The usability should be exactly the same look and feel as the Create View window in enterprise manger and work with sql, access, and oledb databases. At the bottom of the screen should be a 'Use' button which will write the SQL to a public property and an event to detect when the button was clicked from the UI. This button will only be enabled when the SQL is tested and works.
The second control will have the following properties:
1) Data Collection. This collection will contain the following members:
XML File Locations - String (Not mandatory)
Dataset Name - String
Dataset connection string (only if from a database.)
Dataset SQL (Only if dataset connection is set).
The collection will have a public add, remove and count methods and property like normal.
2) The control will have an ability to combine results of the data collection with XSLT and produce a final XML doc with the combined results. This will be similar to the DTS interface where fields are mapped with each other, validated and saved. The saved file will be in a standard XML format. This will be from intuitive drag drop and click user actions via a very smart UI.
