Build a web based membership management and website

Hello there! I'm looking to create a website for our non-profit association that also includes membership (login) features. The website may *not* be developed with Wordpress and we will reject any offers suggesting this automatically. We require the website to be coded in PHP. While we hope to keep working with you to extend and further the website, we need to be able to maintain the website ourselves — therefore the criteria above (No Wordpress, only PHP) is non-negotiable. The website will contain: - Various pages explaining what we do - Archive of our association magazine - Calendar of events The front page will dynamically show latest events and our current magazine edition automatically. Some features require a login: - Signing up for events requires a login - After event we will publish photos and competition rankings visible only to members - Reading archive versions of the magazine requires login Additionally in a member area we will allow members to: - Enter new postal address - Change e-mail / password - Change their photo - Change newsletter preferences - Change magazine preferences - See/Manage event registrations - See personal event history Once important detail: Any changes to the profile by the user must end up in a manual "queue" to be approved. This is because we have an external company managing addresses, member data and invoicing. They do not have an API and we need to send them all changes and verify that they have been applied. So any changes must be marked as "pending" for the user. (Probably a separate table for the different data points allowing a user to have a history of each change and status of pending -> sent for processing -> active) Finally, members can earn a special medal (Medal 1/2/3) when they have reached certain criteria. We want the application to show members their progress toward these and automatically notify them when they have reached the threshold. Ideally similar to a password strength/criteria dispaly showing green checkmarks when a milestone is reached. We have a design template which should be adhered to as close as you can. However we are overall open to feedback, ideas and creative suggestions on your end. If it makes sense to us, we're happy to have it built.
