1.- Revised Flow (User journey). 1.1 When the user is on the product listing page (ex: Orchid Plants), they can click on Add to Cart to shortlist the product for buying. 1.2 We update the cart icon available at the top right corner to indicate to the user that the product has successfully been added. This action avoids bouncing the user between product listing and cart summary page in cases where the user wishes to purchase more products. 1.3 Add flash notification to make cart prominent after adding a product 1.4 Theme's Shopping cart icon. 2.- Shopping Cart Summary 2.1 The Last Product Added section on this page can be removed as the user can see the product listed in the itemized list below( hide Latest product added shown over the shoppping cart summary at step 1) 2.2 Hide the left navigation on the order page (Categories) as these are the main exit points from the shopping cart process. 2.3 Hide Tags, Viewed Products and Blog Categories sections from all order pages. 2.4 Continue Shopping button should be made more prominent; should the visitor want to explore more products before payment. 2.5 Hide the address on step 1 at checkout if user is logged in. 2.6 In terms of the products listed: Hide Ref. column 2.6.1 Product Cost Sum of list price of all products in the cart. This is already working. 2.6.2 Shipping Cost: Two use cases here - logged in users and unsigned users. Logged In Users - You are saying that for users who are signed in during the order process, the system has to select a default carrier in the system and uses the logged in users' address to calculate the shipping address. Your suggestion to add an "unreal" carries is fine as long as users don't see it on the order summary page and also on the Shipping page. The use of "?" may not help as most of them may not hover on the icon to see the message. I suggest we implement the "?" along with a prominent display if this message on the page. Unsigned Users - How will this work for users who have not signed in yet? I suggest we do the same as for the logged in users - display the message more prominently so they know they have to pay for shipment by selecting the carrier in later steps. 2.6.3 Taxes: These are not calculated from shipping, because shipping cost is tax included.
