For testing purpose, you program will display some debug information (e.g. please read below for more information - show me the break apart components, the best matched food product) There will be a RESTFUL API which analyzes the ingredient and give back nutritional information. Your job is to break the ingredients into 3 (or 4 distinct parts) * quantity * food unit * food product * preparation method (may be) For example: ½ block of cheddar cheese, shredded (or your favorite cheese) Your program should know that * 1/2 is a quantity * block is food unit * cheddar cheese is the food unit * shredded is the preparation method (may be used to improve the matching effiency) After breaking apart the correct components: you program will do the following * convert 1/2 to 0.5 (note that it should work with UTF-8 encoded fraction number as user can copy and paste from the web . This is the UTF-8 encoded ( ½ ) * query the RESTFUL service for food-unique-id for "block". There are total of 71 food unit. If "block" is not in the available food unit, substitute it for a different food unit. * query the RESTFUL service for food-product-id for "cheddar cheese". You will receive almost 300 results , but let focus on the first 25 result. Sample result is: cheese, cheddar, shredded cheese, cheddar, melted cheese, cheddar, Marquis Star cheese, cheddar, lowfat cheese, cheddar, Free, shredded, fat free cheese, cheddar, medium cheese, cheddar, sharp, sliced cheese product, cheddar, sharp, pasteurized processed, sliced, fat free Your script must be smart in selecting the best matched food from the RESTFUL result. From there, you get the food-product-id With the quantity (in decimal), food-unit-id and food-product-id, now you send final query using CURL (POST) for food analysis. Screening Questions: 1.
