Hello, I'm looking for a creative video editor who is hopefully a film fan! I need a short 16:9 video that is a montage of social media assets I’ve created. Basically it's a video version of a portfolio which I want to use to showcase the variety of work that I’ve done. It needs to be beautiful, engaging, and highlight a small amount of copy. I work in the film industry and have AV and static assets from 30+ films. I will cull to shortlist, however, there will be a lot of assets to include in this video and I want to show off the range of titles/genres I've worked on. As this will be a mixture of square 1:1 and vertical 16:9 assets, I need a video editor who can creatively fill the screen instead of just placing the square in the centre and leaving black on the sides (for this I'm thinking tiled or mirrored assets but open to other suggestions if you have them). I also want a video editor who can edit to music as I have a specific song in mind to include (for the right designer I might need 2 edits of this video to different music). Thanks in advance!

Hello I understand you're looking to create a highlight reel of your work. And like any good highlight reel it has to be short and sweet but must also include good music to boot. You also included having different aspect ratios of films. 16:9 and 1:1 and of course there's the dilemma of a sea of black when you place a 1:1 ration film into 16:9 film however there's a handful of ways to fix them and you have listed a few already. I also have a few ideas on how to make the 1:1 footage pop like using the echo effect or maybe a custom made background using After effects but I've never actually tried to solve that issue in the past but like any good editor, I relish a challenge.
