Javascript clear cache - diffrent integration

I am looking for a different way of writing a JavaScript which would not affect other session. Currently in order to log out completely from a web application using WebSphere I need to clear catch upon logout but it only works in IE and it affects other web sessions that are open by disconnecting them. I would need a different way which would affect only this session. Maybe erase the cookie or something but I don't know the name of the cookie that is being created or maybe another way that would work.
