Website Manager Position: Website Manager Company Location: Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, England. Job Type: Contract - initially up to 2 months (but could lead to a part/full time position). Rate of Pay: Up to £2000 per month (pro rata). Over the past year we have constructed an exciting, revolutionary, (100+ page), international, e-commerce website - aimed at the people-to-people and question and answer market places. The website was successfully launched in June 2003 and we now have members from all parts of the world - and a Google page rank of 7/10. We are currently looking for an experienced Website Manager who: • Is well-experienced in all aspects of efficiently running and further developing a successful worldwide, e-commerce, website. • Would relish the challenge of successfully growing a people-to-people, question and answer website. • Has a good working knowledge of website marketing and promotion via technologies such as opt-in email, press (and e-zine) releases, website optimization, successful registration/promotion by search engines, links to other websites etc. • Can soundly expand the UK and worldwide membership of the website and could handle a dramatic increase in membership, with ease. • Is able to maximize the profitability of the website. • Is able to help develop and maintain a customer service process, resulting in excellent customer relations with all members of the website. • Has experience of setting-up successful partnerships with other websites and organisations. • Has excellent inter-personal and communication skills. • Has a good command of the English language and is able to produce website content to an excellent standard and to write good copy. Work will initially be issued on a fairly regular basis, with a view to increasing the amount of work contracted out over time. Part/full-time employment is a possibility for the correct incumbent, should this prove attractive. The work will be based in the Lincoln area, although tele-working is a possibility. Preference will be given to those based within easy travelling distance of Gainsborough, Lincolnshire.
