Hello, Siteground will eventually suspend your account, even if not bots, if you get some visits browsing the site at once they will probably suspend your account due to CPU usage and fair use of shared hosting I can take a look at what he did on htaccess file to prevent bots, also i can take a look at the log files to see the bots they mentioned I can also provide better alternative solution
