Importance of a Project Completion Certificate
The certificate contains all the details related to the property and its construction such as the location, information about the builder, and the quality of material used.
The document confirms if the project has been constructed as per the regulations and rules set by the local municipal body. It includes the distance from the road, the distance between nearby buildings, etc.
In several states, this certificate is required for the builder to obtain electricity and water connection.
It is advisable not to take the Possession Certificate without the Project Completion Certificate as in its absence, the building or project is considered illegal and could invite heavy penalties.
OC(Occupation Certificate)/CC (Completion Certificate) are essential before offering possession of the residential/commercial unit. Without which such offer of possession is illegal in the eyes of law.
