I have a simple project for somebody who is familiar with using relay boards with Linux. I will need only one output and one input.
Essentially -- here is how it has to work:
1. Using the relay board, I need to turn on a 24V 3 amp solenoid.
2. Software will listen for a high signal on the input of the relay card.
3. When a high signal is received, the motor is turned off.
-- High signal is 5VDC TTL compat.
-- I need to initiate the motor being turned on using a cron job.
That's it. I need you to recommend a relay board, and I need you to provide me with the software to run it.
This system will operate on a laptop running centos Linux that has usb, a serial port, and a parallel port
