I need a desktop application that will pull up a very basic web browser. The first time it runs I need to get the hardware MAC or other ID that I can put into my database with fields like: ID | MAC | School | Computer | Username | Password | License(array) 1 | 44:EE:FF:23:AA | SLCC | Tutoring_Center1 | SLCC_Tutoring1 | 902398723 | a:2:{s:9:"Chemistry";s:2:"26";s:17:"Organic Chemistry";s:2:"20";} From then on each time the application is run, it pulls the MAC, makes a request from my webserver against that MAC, it true it processes a login script from the username / password. I think this should be fairly simple with only very minor modifications to an open source browser, or from sample code like [login to view URL] Actual feature list would be: Light Weight Browser, single EXE, Custom icon Splash image during startup (company logo, picture of tutor, something like that) MAC Lookup / Login Script Back, Forward, Home Refresh buttons No URL bar, should stay within our domain name only. Ability to watch Flash video (we use JWPlayer) I think that should be it for what I need. The rest should be handled by my Vbulletin guy and everything else based off the permissions of the user. I would love to know what you think about the project, if you are interested, then what your expected time frame would be and cost.

Hello, I have all required for your application. For the web browser will use a third party solution based on Google chrome so it should be good enough for any requirements. It can run Flash and of course youtube videos. I would need all the mentioned graphics and logo pictures. For the rest I am available to cooperate with other developers. Hi, I did similar app but more simple, I can do exactly what you need quickly, It will use Google Chrome webkit, it is powerful, or I can make it more native using Internet Explorer which is powerful enough especially version 9+ .

Hello, Sir. I have carefully read your project requirements, and i have implemented most of your requirements now. I have much experiences of C# programming , that is, i have worked in this area for more than 10 years. I think i can do implement all of your requirememts. I have implemented the followings. - Light weight browser, single exe, custom icon(i used downloaded custom ie icon and it can be substituted with your favorite any time) - splash image during startup( i used an image created by myself and can be substituted with your) - mac lookup ( i get the mac address on startup and show it on the status bar bottom of the window) - back, forward, home, refresh buttons on the toolbar top of the window) - no url bar I can implement other requests. if you provide your server address, i can implement auto login. if your provide flash player details, i can do it too.
