If you possess programming experience and you plan to undertake the usage/management of the code yourself, then kickstarting that with something like a backtesting framework is a good idea, albeit the process will need constant feedback from your side to be complete and usable in the end. I am a Python developer and creating trading applications has been my main focus here in Freelancer and outside of the site too. Certainly I have a pretty good grasp of financial stuff about trading. Two quick questions from my end. Considering that you're talking about real-time data, then I expect you intend to reach to something that can be used as a dry-run system that generates trading signals, so it's a step further from backtesting. Am I correct? Second, I would like to ask how "urgent" is this project, meaning to understand what you think as a desired deadline and how fast you expect to begin the development.
