Hi, If you have Docker already, it's better to use it instead of Node.js because it's cleaner, and your development environment is isolated from your other things. As you mentioned correctly, you need an existing database but it's not necessary to create it on your HostGator VPS. You can just create another Docker container for the database. If you have an SQLite database, you just need to mount the database file as a volume in the container. If you don't have a database at all, you can use sample database files that can be found online easily. I'm here to help you set it up and explain the process if you need it to learn.
