I need a qualified electronics engineer for a report on an Ipad pro connection problem

Apple changed the connector on their Ipad Pro to a male connector - this failed within the warranty period but was only used in accordance with manufacturer instructions but Apple refuse to accept the damage could be a manufacturing defect. The problem is solely a hardware connection issue as the Ipad works perfectly. I just need an independent report on the problem and how it was likely caused. You need to be UK based as I will need to send the ipad for examination. Just seems to me that you would not expect any £800 product to fail due to a faulty power connector? In most units failure of the connector is usually to the male end and simple to replace but not if the male connector is on the unit and the female end is the separate item.
