Just need a short Linux Script written. I am working with a Synology NAS and I need it to delete the oldest files automatically when the device becomes full based on age of the file. Essentially, first in first out. I will have the .SH run on a schedule. Need to think of the best way to deploy this. I imagine it will be very short script. I only have one directory. Data is being streamed to the NAS 24/7.

Hi, in Linux, file creation date is not stored, but we can check the following information: Access date - the last time the file was read Modify date - the last time the file was modified (content has been modified) Change date - the last time meta data of the file was changed (e.g. permissions) So, it would be possible to remove files based on the above information.
