Project Title: Investigate SSL TLS v1.2 client server handshake error Description: We are looking for an experienced professional to investigate and resolve the SSL TLS v1.2 client server handshake error that we are currently facing. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of SSL/TLS protocols and experience working with Apache, Nginx, or IIS servers. Please, submit a bid only if you are an expert in SSL TLS v1.2. Once the issue is resolved I release the money. The specific of this project is that there is no error message from the client side, it just rejects the Server Hello because it doesn't like something related to the Certificate or the Server Key. The details might not be available due to the commercial secret, this makes investigation a bit more complex. However, for the expert in SSL TLS it shouldn't be a problem to figure what is going on wrong. I have worked quite a few handshake problems between a browser (client) and storage management application using Jetty as the interface mechanism for the server. Because your analysis indicates that the handshake is failing during the Server Hello response to the Client Hello, I would suspect that there is not an acceptable common cipher or TLS version, the server's certificate chain of trust is not recognized or a certificate in the server's chain of trust is expired or on a CRL (Certificate Revocation List) referenced by the client. A quick way to look at the handshake response from the server would be to execute the command "openssl s_client ..." and then manually check the validity of the server's response in the context of the client's expectations. Digging in deeper, looking at the server's certificates (openssl x509 ...) and chain of trust, along with network traces captured on the client and server of the handshake so that we could check the server's response in the context of RFC-5246 would probably narrow down the client or server configuration that needs to be adjusted for a successful handshake and session establishment.
