Uploadify - I need it fixed - PHP, JavaScript, JQuery

I'm not sure why, but my uploadify script has stopped working correctly. I did have to change the ereg function I was using to a preg function and it fixed that error. The problem I am having is it seems everything is working write, it's just not putting the file on to the server. Here's what's SUPPOSED to happen. Uploadify uploads the file to a tmp directory, the file name is then changed to random letters/numbers. After the file name is changed, the file is put in to a specific folder and the filename is written to the database. Here's what happens now: When I upload a file, the file's status bar is working like it's actually uploading the file. I do not know where the file is going but it's not going in to the directory it's supposed to. The random filename is getting written to the database just fine and the player tries to play the file, only it's not there to play. This works the same way with documents and photos. I am not familiar with javascript so I have no clue on how to fix it. Should be a simple fix like permissions on a folder or maybe because the folder it's looking for isn't in the right place. I need this fixed. ***EDIT*** I just found out uploadify is working in one section and not the other. This is going to be a scripting problem probably???
