We're looking for a small application that allows end users to submit and track the status of tickets that they submit to our online CRM (Perlbill more info available at [login to view URL]). We're looking for a program written in VB with an Access Backend that: 1) Allows a user to submit a trouble ticket from their desktop. This can be accomplished by either allowing the program to send email to the script (in a way that is not SMTP dependent) or by gaining access to the MySQL database and tables using user/pass from the desktop applet. 2) Allows a user to track a trouble ticket from their desktop. Each time a user submits a ticket, a record in a local DB should be created so that the user has a running list of his/her tickets and support responses to that ticket. 3) Alerts a user to responses to their trouble tickets by way of a MSN Style popup and animated icon in the system tray. The program should check in congifurable intervals (e.g. every 30sec, every min, every 2 minutes) for responses to their trouble tickets. These responses should be grouped with the original ticket. When a response is received for a given ticket a MSN Style Popup should be the first notification and then a blinking system tray icon notification.
