Database runtime error 3246 problem

I am new to database programming and am getting a runtime error 34256 "This action was cancelled by an associated object. At the beginning of the program I run the following code [login to view URL] in the form_activate sub and it runs with no problem. A little later i run the following code again [login to view URL] in a different sub within the same form and get the above runtime error message. 1. Anyone know what causes this error and the fix for it? 2.
