Hello We are working on this field for last 6 years and we make 4 photograpy website till now but if you want to see them then I am helpless because they are now property of another company as we made them for other company with their banner and we have a NDA also with them. On the other side I cannot show you a example site by searching google because I know that I can prove myself by describing the steps. And i beleave that you can understand that we have done this type of job before after see our planing First of all there are two type so photo selling web site 1) A common site where other photographer can create account and can upload their photo for sell 2) A personal site from where admin only upload photo for sell I think you are looking for the second type Below I describe all steps one by one 1)Design : I think as per my experience ,this is the most important part of a website,because if your design is not proper you can not create a good website from look and feel an from program. This why we always try to make a design by which we can create a good looking user friendly website. 2) Front end : Fro a photography site we often make the front end with php and flash. We use flash for gallerys and php for rest pages. Such as you have a gallery page now when we design it we make the display area in flash for it's rich aminations and the other parts are in php 3) Back end: This part only for admin. Admin can change contents of each pages from here. When admin want to upload an image he have to select a category first and then he will upload the image under the selected category. From here admin can create a category also. 4) Shopping cart: thsi is the another important part of this website. User can see all photos as per category. If they want to buy any one photo they have to click on the buy now button under the thumb of the imager. It will take the user to the big view of the image. There the user can see a button "Add to cart" and by pressing it user will redirect to the payment page where he have to diposite the amount through paypel. After completing the payment two email will through from the site one for customer and another for admin. Admin will get all details about the selled image. I think it will very user friendly.
