Host drupal site in digital ocean

Use DigitalOcean for hosting Drupal is quite simple. We can create new droplet(server) and install Ubuntu 14.04, PHP7, MySQL 5.6. Once the setup is done we need to set up the firewall. Basically, we should only allow 80 (HTTP), 443 (https) and 22 (SSH) ports to avoid any unexpected hacking of the site. After installation done, we can Install(optional) nginx to maintained cached or we have one more option with DigitalOcean, that is Memcached. BASED on my previous experience, I want to say that DigitalOcean is very much cost effective, but we must go with Amazon EC2. Because : DigitalOcean sells VPSes and DNS only but Amazon EC2 sells may item like compute, storage, database, networking, which will need time to time in website life cycle. DigitalOcean as manual scalability and AWS as automatic scalability, which is helpful on high traffic. DigitalOcean is not yet a cloud, but as they grow, they might add more "cloud-like" features & services. Amazon has advantages because it's a true cloud, you no longer manage servers, but you manage how things automatically scale while you sleep. I equally capable of Host your website in Digital Ocean and Amazon. As a developer I just put my point of view, But your decision will be final.
