Modular robot design optimization

The project is to apply genetic algorithm in order to evolve a modular robot that is built out of cubes. The resulting robot should accomplish a certain task, e.g. move forward. We will start with a set of 'n' cubes with different sensing and actuation capabilities. Then apply them to a given task and show the morphological evolution of the structure guided by a performance evaluation function. The cubes used are Cubelets: [login to view URL] This repo has code to simulate Cubelets: [login to view URL] The simulation should demonstrate the gradual evolution of the structure, and the changes in task performance and how poorly performing structures are rejected and better ones are fine tuned, just as in natural evolution. I did some mathematical models to represent the robot and I can share it upon request.
