Create sci/fantasy 3D animated movie (/short)

My idea is to first create a short movie out of a particular pivotal scene in what will later become a fantasy/scifi full length movie. After that is done and I'm happy with how my vision has been translated, I'd like to expand that into the full picture. I already have a rough outline for the rest of the movie. IMPORTANT NOTE: The financing of the project is still something I'm figuring out. I had posted a much much smaller version of the project earlier to have a rough 2D mockup of this scene but I didn't find the right animators, so now I've decided to consider finding the right freelancers for the real full length 3D project right off the bat. I always have a short skype call with the potential freelancers or freelancer team representatives before deciding on signing anyone on the project so that we can both get to know each other and see if we are on the same page. The scene starts with several (50+) humanoid beings rushing towards a forrest from every corner of the landscape. They are agile like monkeys and they jump on trees to get to the center as quickly as they can. The ground of the forrest is swamp-like, but when they finally get to the center there is a clearing with solid ground. There they sit waiting. Everything is still and there's a sense of mystery as what is about to happen. None of them talk to each other and they sit and lay in random positions, not necessarilly facing one other. Clouds part way to reveal the sun, and as it shines upon them, we see them basking under its light in a bliss-like state. It's as if a wave of peace descends upon them and they are connecting to something divine. Some of them can be seen grinning, other sighing as if a burden was lifted off their shoulders. They are suddenly mysteriously enlivened to start constructing something using their primitive tools and the surrounding trees. They move almost unconsciously yet in a very focused manner as they climb the trees. They cut them off at the top and connect each tree with the one on the opposing side of the clearing using ropes. As they finish and come out of their 'trance', they wonder between each other what that was all for. Some of them very doubtful and not very happy about it. Their part seems to be over. Then, for a split second, the sun light get's brigther and this time the trees themselves seem to come alive and start bending together at the center to form what now looks like a curiously shaped dome-like building. Then everyhing goes back to being very still. The humanoid beings are left wondering again, what exactly that was for. With no answer from above, some of them start leaving the forrest to wherever they came from, while some other remain as if waiting for the sun's reply, but to no avail. The camera zooms out and flies over the world to reveal that other structures have also been built in other parts of the landscape, all of them different in size and shape. We finish with an ominous shot of the sun. Silent, God-like. Nothing is explained. I've decided to make this project as a 3D animation. The movie aims to be relatable in terms of visuals and sound, while not fitting neatly in the fantasy/scifi spectrum of dungeons'n'dragons - lasers and spaceships. The color pallette and coloring is really key. Vibrancy and contrast between the colors of the trees, the ground, the skin of the characters needs to be appealing. Not drab. The aim is to be appealing. A good example of is the planet and aliens featured in the first scene of the movie Star Trek : Into Darkness and the game Riven . I haven' decided on the visual for the characters. This is where I'll most need the illustrators' hlep. I'm looking for as high quality 3d visuals as the budget allows. I have experience working in movies but not with animation, so if you have experience in medium level projects, the production value is something I'd love your feedback on.
