2D game artist

We are a startup company developing video games for the iOS platform. We are currently looking for a 2D game artist who supports us to realize our latest video game projects. If we are satisfied with the results, we are planning to work together on a longer term basis. Workload will vary considerably, based on the project's phase, so don't be suprised if there are several months without any work to do and you only get work every once in a while. This is the reason why we are hiring per hour, so you should be flexible considering the workload. Your responsibilities: - Creation of concept art (character and environment sketches, storyboards) - Creation of objects and sprites for 2D games, including animation frames - Creation of game backgrounds - Creation of UI elements (game menus, HUDs, etc.) - Creation of website content You should be able to deliver the artwork as vector graphics if needed (e.g. sprites for multiple screen resolutions or for marketing material). IMPORTANT: Please include a link to a demoreel which demonstrates your game artist skills and please send me a rough estimate per private message of how many hours you normally invest for creation of a game background, non-animated sprite, animated sprite, concept sketches, etc. This is just for our budged planning.
