Mobile Data Synchronisation

We would like to develop a platform that allows mobile phone users to backup their data such as phone contacts, text messages (SMS), calendar entries, (photos and videos in future) on to a web server. Furthermore, there should be a web application/ web site where the user can log in and view their saved data. The user should be able update (modify and/or delete) their contacts online and re-sync it with their mobile phone. The service will be something very similar to vodafone360 ([login to view URL]), mobyko ([login to view URL]) or Apple’s mobileMe service ([login to view URL]). Important: We would like to support as many platforms as possible (Blackberry, iPhone, Android, Symbian etc.)! We need the following 2 applications developed: 1. Web site/web application where the user first needs to sign up and pay for a one-off payment. Furthermore, the user can then login with their credentials and view, update their synchronised data. 2. Mobile Phone application: Install application on the mobile device; enter login credentials that were created when signing up on website. The user should be able to issue the sync command from this application which sends data to the web server and receives data from the web server. Note: If possible, the project should be based on the open-source platform Funambol ([login to view URL])!!! Our graphics designers have already designed the graphics and concept of the website which will be provided to you once we have hired you as developers.
